The threat of nuclear warfare agent or the deliberate or accidental release of Toxic Industrial Radiologicals (nuclear terrorism, uncontrolled nuclear accident) is likely to become more complex in the future. For this purpose amongst others the Contracting Authority is expanding their Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) defense capabilities, through replacement of the current radiation and monitoring system and introduction of new capabilities.
