Construction of a new railway bridge in Duisburg-Meiderich and extension of Vohwinkelstraße from "Am Nordhafen" to "Werderstraße". New bridge construction, approx. 1 600 m road construction including drainage, marking and lighting, new noise protection wall with a length of approx. 970 m, new construction of canals, including DN1200 with a length of approx. 580 m.
The city of Duisburg intends to connect the district of Meiderich by an efficient ring road to the junction Duisburg - Meiderich the federal motorway A59. The present planning of the bypass Meiderich envisages an efficient city - compatible connection between the street Am Nordhafen and the motorway junction Meiderich.
The bypass is mainly in the street space of today's Vohwinkelstraße, so that already sealed areas are included in the construction project. The eastern section is moved to the south opposite of the present Vohwinkelstraße and trained without cultivation. The planning envisages bundling routes (rail and bypass) and striving for a development close to existing ones.
The measure involves the construction of an inner-city, predominantly non-agricultural main road with a total length of approx. 1.7 km. This is a road construction project in full development with construction of a bridge structure for the DB sub-crossing.
The construction work to be performed will be awarded as a complete service on the basis of a functional description. Scope of the functional tender are the following services: clearing and dismantling, earthworks, road construction, bridge construction with track construction, construction of noise protection walls, sewer construction, cable foundation and cable work as well as the coordination of services of third parties. All necessary adjustments to the stock beyond the expansion threshold are to be included.
The concept of the contracting body envisages carrying out the work in 6 sections, from September 2019 to 30.9.2022. Time constraint is the first section in the area of the railway underpass. Here, immediately after the order has been placed, the preparation of the bridge relocation must begin, which will take place in the DB suspension break of 18.5. until 31.5.2020.
