Barnfield College is part of the West Herts College Group. This procurement is for the construction of new teaching facilities at the Barnfield College site in Luton. Resolution to grant planning permission has been achieved on 28 May 2020, and a section 106 agreement is being signed. The College now wishes to procure a contractor to build out the building under a design and build contract.

Barnfield College is a Further Education College that has recently merged with West Herts College. The existing estate at New Bedford Road comprises a series of primarily 1960’s buildings from single storey to four storeys in height.It is envisaged to redevelop the campus in a phased manner. This procurement concerns the construction of phase 1 of the new buildings. The College has designed the building up to RIBA Stage 4 and will wish to procure a design and build contractor to complete the design, taking on novation of the design consultants.
