The invitation to tender has also had some updates as a result of these updates.
The rest of the documents are the same as in the previous announcement.
If there are any doubts, please send questions via Mercell.
The pathology department needs 5 labelling machines. Approx. 120,000 tissue samples (size of approx. 40×28×6mm) are used per year. The labelling machines must provide permanent ID prints (numbers, letters and QR codes) on the cassettes. The machine must be able to communicate with a "LIMS system".
The pathology department will procure 2 (+ 1 as an option) staining machines with cover function to be used in the histology laboratory for staining paraffin-embedded tissue on slides with standard colour (haematoxylin/eosin). The staining machine must also be able to be used to prepare/define sections for other staining methods, and to cover sections stained with other staining methods.
The pathology department will procure 1 system for preparation and staining of liquid-based cytology (except cervix/vagina).
The pathology department will procure 1 microtome freezer to be used in the histological laboratory for cutting frozen tissue.
The pathology department will procure 2 casting centres including a cooling unit to be used in the histology laboratory to cast tissue samples in paraffin.
The pathology department will procure 1 fixation instrument that automatically dispenses formaldehyde into containers with tissue samples, according to tissue type and weight. The instrument will simplify and ensure better HSE for employees when preparing tissue for both small and large tissues (for as many as possible). It is therefore crucial to minimise the need for manual refilling with a wide range of bucket sizes.
