Worcestershire Health and Care Trust (WHCT) provide the Improving access to psychological therapy (IAPT) service for Worcestershire. As part of this provision all patients are offered an initial triage to determine suitability for the service.
The Trust is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified providers capable of delivering an IAPT telephone triage service integrated with the wider IAPT service within Worcestershire.
IAPT services are psychological therapy services that provide talking therapies to individuals experiencing common mental health difficulties such as depression, stress and anxiety. Therapies are provided via groups, courses, digital platforms and one to one.
The organisation will need to provide initial triage in line with the IAPT manual.
The triage service will work closely with IAPT clinicians, clinical leads and managers. The provider will demonstrate how they will integrate with IAPT services at a local level.
WHCT are seeking to subcontract and work with a partner organisation that can bring this knowledge and expertise and work within and alongside the IAPT service. We are seeking providers who have previous experience of delivering a mental health triage service.
There is an expectation that the successful provider will commence the service from June 2020.
A bidder engagement event will be held on 22.10.2019 to provide an opportunity to discuss the service specification and requirements in further detail.
Bidders will also have the opportunity to view and ask questions about the Trusts Patient Administration System (Carenotes) in sessions 24-25
Suppliers are required to register for the engagement event and Carenotes sessions via the messaging system on EU Supply.
