This contract is a framework service agreement.

This framework agreement is made up of four lots corresponding to the various arrondissements: see article 137 of 3 e part of these special specifications.

The object of the contract is the performance of the services as defined by the plan (s) filed, the annexed inventory and the various documents of the reference contract.

This framework agreement concerns the weeding of accessory tracks, platform tracks, service roads and various surfaces inside outbuildings by one of the following methods chosen by the official-manager: 5

- either a combination of herbicide molecules to be spread in a reasoned manner,

- or the implementation of several alternative techniques.

From year to year Infrabel will determine the areas to be treated by spreading or via an alternative technique while respecting a herbicide reduction program set out in section 6 e part, section 1, point 1 of these special specifications.

This reduction plan is linked to obtaining the exemptions necessary for the proper performance of this contract from the regional administrations.

The quantities mentioned in the inventory are quantities envisaged for the fixed period of the framework agreement (see point 2 - duration of the framework agreement below). Infrabel does not undertake to order all the services or all the quantities mentioned in the inventory.

The special specifications also provide for the following items:

- emergency mowing and lifting operations,

- provision of “lookout” surveillance personnel.
