Planning service for the construction of a decentralised heating and cooling plant "Landmarken"

The heat and cold on the Mark 51°7 site is generated by several decentralised energy systems.

These plants are connected to each other and to the system for heat and cold extraction from the mine water via an intermediate circuit network consisting of a warm and a cold pipe. The systems can exchange heat and cold with each other via the intermediate circuit. The deficiency is compensated with heat or cold from the mine water.

The large-scale plant (Energiezentrale-Ost) has a heating and cooling capacity of 8.5 MW each. This supplies heat and cold to the emerging buildings in the eastern area of the site via a local heating and cooling network. The base load of heat (3MW) and cooling (2.5 MW) is provided by heat pumps. The peak load is ensured by district heating and compression cold. The base load can generate about 80% of the total annual demand.

The plant for the extraction of heat and cold from the mine water and the Energiezentrale-Ost are currently being planned and are in the process of being implemented. The intermediate circuit network has already been implemented. The PIT water boreholes GT-01 (8th brine, warm mine water) and GT-02 (4th brine, cold mine water) have also already been completed.

The planning services to be offered concern the decentralised system for heating and cooling supply of the company "Landmarken"

- Energy Center Landmarks:

Heating capacity: 1,080 kW

Cooling capacity: 830 kW

The facility for landmarks will be installed in a separate technical building on the customer's property and will provide the heat and cold for three buildings of landmarks (components 4, 5 and 6). The technical building and the heating and cooling pipes between the technical centre and the buildings will be erected on site. An installation area of approx. 110 m2 was estimated. This is to be checked by the Contractor as part of the planning task.

The planning of the decentralised plant was to be based on the planning of the Energiezentrale-Ost. There are the following main differences:

- Power pump system should be able to cover 100% of the cooling capacity;

- The base load of the heat pump system should be about 35% of the heating capacity. If more heat output is available from the intermediate circuit, the operating capacity of the heat pump system can be increased if necessary;

- No compression chillers are used, instead table coolers for heat pump operation with 100% cooling capacity are to be planned;

- It should be taken into account that about 35% of the heat generated is introduced into the intermediate circuit during cooling operation or more, provided that correspondingly more cooling capacity is available from the intermediate circuit. The remaining heat output is released into the air via the table cooler.
