Status of the decarbonization of the Saxon economy on the basis of selected transformation paths - study and public relations work

The aim of the study is to show the current implementation status of decarbonization and the transformation paths to be assumed for the Saxon economy and especially for selected industries in the further course of the SMWA. The aim is to provide an overview of the state of transformation towards climate neutrality among Saxon companies and, at the same time, to improve the knowledge base for any economic policy recommendations on economic policy intervention options. The consideration of the transformation task of companies in the energy industry is not the subject of this study. The service contract includes the following services:

-Project Management (B.I.): The service includes the project management of the services B.II. to B.VII. of the service description/contract documents.

-Work Package (WP) Framework Conditions for the Climate-Neutral Transformation (B.II.) - WP 1:

This work package includes:

-an analysis of the environment with regard to the most important legal and political framework conditions for decarbonisation,

-an analysis of the environment with regard to the most important economic structural data.

-Work Package Industry Profiles (B.III.) - WP 2: This work package includes an industry analysis based on industry profiles with a strengths and weaknesses analysis (interim report).

Work package Identified cross-industry future fields and conducting expert interviews (B.IV.) - WP 3: This work package includes

-the consideration of the future fields of decarbonization defined by the client and, if applicable, proposed by the contractor, and

-the implementation of expert interviews and evaluation of future fields.

-Work package "Study on the state of decarbonization of the Saxon economy based on selected transformation paths" (B.V.) - WP 4: This work package includes

-the presentation of the Saxon actors and networks that are good examples in the field of green technologies,

-the identification of potential transformation paths in the focus industries (WP 2) as well as

-the presentation of the drivers and obstacles as a basis for a successful transformation of the Saxon economy

-Preparation of "Study on the status of decarbonisation of the Saxon economy on the basis of selected transformation paths".

-Work Package Public Relations (B.VI.) - WP 5: This work package includes

-the implementation of two workshops and

-the holding of a conference.

All parts are summarized as a fixed price service.
