The Provision of Accident Repair Services to Police, Ambulance and 3
The number of vehicles being sent for repair may vary from time to time but over a period of twelve months it is anticipated that this may amount to GBP 2,652,760 (Spend across all four forces and YAS on collision damage for 2012/13) with repair jobs ranging in value from an estimated GBP 30 to GBP 30,000.
Each individual Force and Yorkshire Ambulance Service has different requirements for collision repairs, and therefore each tender Lot has been broken down into two Work Schedules as detailed below.
Work Schedule ‘A'
To accommodate both minor repairs and “standard” repairs that require neither structural work nor any of the specialist repair services listed in Work Schedule ‘B'. The exception being, wheel, steering and suspension damage where a 4 wheel geometry check is to be carried out. Printed geometry documentation from both before and after repair, to be supplied. The labour element to be less than 15 hours.
Work Schedule ‘B'
Specialist and Prestige repairs:-
1. Heavy Goods vehicles
2. Specialist coach built vehicles for example Force externally clad PSU vans and Ambulance conversion vehicles.
3. Prestige repairs i.e. vehicle that require specialist's techniques and equipment such as riveting and panel bonding and all aluminium and composite constructed vehicles.
4. Vehicles that require any structural repairs.
5. Wheel, steering and suspension damage where a 4 wheel geometry check is to be carried out. Printed documentation from both before and after repair to be supplied.
6. Work from schedule A above 15 hours labour.
