AFATEK A/S (herein swearing in "AFATEK" or "contracting entity") is currently responsible for the reprocessing and marketing of slag for recycling from a number of incineration plants on Zealand.
This invitation to tender includes a framework agreement concerning the transport of slag by sea from a port on Zealand to a port in Jutland. The slag must be transported as bulk material. In addition to the transport of ships themselves, the service offered also includes the loading of ships.
The framework agreement has a duration of 24 months. The estimated total quantity of slag to be shipped during the period is 100,000 tonnes. The maximum amount of slag gravel to be transported is 120,000 tonnes. The framework agreement expires when 120 000 tonnes have been transported, even if this is done before 24 months have elapsed.

The slag from the incinerators is sorted for iron and metals at AFATEK's site on Selinevej in Copenhagen. The sorted slag (hereafter also called slag gravel) is laid after sorting in storage at one of AFATEK's slag sites on Zealand. The slag gravel is then allocated to construction projects such as roads and squares. Part of the slag gravel is allocated to construction projects east of Storebælt, where delivery to the projects takes place directly by truck from AFATEK's sites on Zealand, and another part of the slag gravel is used for construction projects in Jutland.

Transportation to port on Zealand is not included in this tender, as this service is covered by another agreement that AFATEK has with another carrier. Likewise, transport from the port of unloading in Jutland to the address where the slag gravel is to be used is not included in the tender.

Since it is a framework agreement, it does not impose on AFATEK an obligation to purchase a specified quantity of transport services.
