The municipality of Weil im Schönbuch intends to build a new community centre. The subject of this procedure is the awarding of project management services.

The municipality of Weil im Schönbuch intends to build a new community centre. For this purpose, following the demolition of the fire station at the fire brigade lake, the construction of the new community centre and the design of the adjacent shore area and the green and open spaces is to be started.

The community centre includes an event area of approx. 1,200 m² for around 750 people (hall: 535 m², stage: 250 m² and foyer 422 m²), a kitchen and service area of 175 m² and 100 parking spaces.

The image of the new town house on the lake is determined by its connection to the north-falling slope of the "Seegärten". Around the lake, diverse meeting places are to be created: play areas, seating and lounge facilities and small squares.

The completion of the community center is planned by the end of 2026 at the latest.

The municipality of Weil im Schönbuch currently expects total project costs of around EUR 11 million net for the community centre and around EUR 3 million net for the outdoor facilities. The cost target should not be exceeded.

Following a successful architectural competition, the municipality of Weil im Schönbuch awarded the object planning services for buildings and outdoor facilities to Auer und Weber and Grabner-Huber-Lipp at the end of 2022.

The subject matter of the present proceedings is now the award of project management services for the new construction of the community centre.

It is intended to commission the project stages 2-5 (cf. AHO publication series, issue no. 9). Initially, the basic services of project management of action areas A to E of project stage 2 are to be commissioned. In addition, special services may be commissioned as optional services, insofar as this proves necessary or sensible on the basis of further project development.

A sectional and phased assignment is intended, there is no entitlement to further assignment.

The commissioning of project management services is subject to the release of funds by the municipal council of the municipality of Weil im Schönbuch. The awarding authority therefore reserves the right to cancel the award procedure if the municipal council does not release the necessary budgetary resources. Tenderers cannot derive payment entitlements from the cancellation of the award.

The services subject to the award are expected to be provided from July 2023.

The applicants selected as part of the competition will receive further details on the scope of the services to be provided with a request to submit an offer.
