The Province of Gelderland, in collaboration with site managers, implements recreational zoning measures in the Natura 2000 area Veluwe. The aim is to prevent disturbance of breeding bird species through various forms of recreational use. In the context of the recreational zoning plan, 6 sub-areas of the Veluwe, where concrete zoning measures are implemented, have been selected for breeding bird monitoring to determine the possible effects of these measures. For the monitoring of effects on breeding birds, a monitoring plan was drawn up in 2022 on behalf of the Province of Gelderland for the period 2023-2028. This plan forms the basis for this request. The work to be carried out in this context consists of two parts: breeding bird inventories in the 6 sub-areas, and determining breeding success of Tree Lark and Nightjar in 2 of these sub-areas. The request concerns the work for the period 2024-2028 (5 years).
