SWM is currently planning to build a second complete depot for the tram at Ständlerstraße 20, 81549 Munich.
The facility will have the following areas of use:
• Two maintenance buildings with work stations for trams
• Warehouse with approx. 10,000 m² of usable space
• Building with office space, social areas and canteen
• Parking with a total track length of approx. 4,000 m incl. possibility of cleaning the inside of the train
• Structural noise protection measures
• Technical arterial for technical development
• Gleichrichterwerke
• Outdoor facilities (rail, road, open spaces and technical installations) at the entire depot
• Consideration of the existing building stock in the depot concept
The service includes all necessary technical facilities and infrastructures that must be built, dismantled or upgraded as part of the construction project.
This applies to cost groups 410, 420, 430, 473 (compressed air), 474 and 480 according to DIN 276.
New construction of approx. 35,500 m² gross floor area of workshop building including storage and office space, approx. 5,000 m² gross floor area of service buildings and approx. 4,000 metres of track systems and associated structures (rectifier plants, supply structures and noise protection measures). The inventory on the construction site is not directly included in the planning scope, but its supply and disposal must be ensured at all times.

Compressed air systems with approx. 330 tapping points and 10 compressors with approx. 22 m³/min, sprinkler systems with approx. 4,000 sprinkler heads, 50 wall hydrants in the building, 25 outdoor hydrants and a double tank in the ground with a total capacity of approx. 1,200 m³
