preservation treatments for current collections in the Inha Library

the purpose of this contract is to outsource the provision of binding of monographs and periodicals, new and used, and the realization of ancillary services, for the library of the inha.

The monographs and periodicals concerned are located in the library of the inha.

The documents will be, depending on their nature and destination, to be equipped or linked in a mechanized or traditional way. All of them are intended for consultation, sometimes intensive, by the public and, possibly, for home loan.

installation of e-readers

this processing is part of the light equipment and does not affect the integrity of the document. It concerns exclusively monographs with a dust jacket.

It must be made using transparent cases already shaped and formatted (such as Book Jacket Covers) ensuring a perfect readability of the original jacket. This equipment must adapt and adjust as closely as possible to each of the formats entrusted to the holder of lot 1 without any creases or twists.

self-adhesive laminating with hinges

the film coating must comply with the following rules:

- Coating of the entire outer surface of the cover and the back,

- Bend and twist resistance,

- perfect transparency, allowing full readability of printed surfaces.

consolidation with soft rebox and self-adhesive laminating

the consolidation must comply with the following rules:

- Flexible re-fitting with suitable glue (see paragraph 2.2.3);

- Reinforced with a weight card greater than 160 g/m² on the covers adapted to the needs;

- Coating the entire outer surface of the cover and the back;

- Bend and twist resistance.

speakable and silent mechanized binding of monographs and periodicals, canvas cover with or without transfer of original covers and self-adhesive laminating

this service concerns lot 4, namely new or used periodicals and monographs in all formats (in-12o to folio).

Binding must meet the following general rules:

- Hardcover type cardboard;

- Rounded corners;

- Reinforced or square caps;

- 15 mm of cover canvas refill;

- Chats in relation to volume height and thickness of cardboard, of a minimum of 3 mm.

When volumes belong to a series (periodicals, collections, and suites), they must be linked identically, unless there is a change in format. In the case of series already linked to the library, a model will be attached to the binding train. If this is a first shipment, the holder will be asked to make it.

traditional reinforced binding of the body of work, corners and headpieces.

this service concerns lot 5. It is recommended for works with a particularly heavy text block and/or a wide back.

Reinforced traditional binding must meet the following rules:

- Hardcover of cardboard type, passed in ribbons,

- Rounded corners and round back,

- reinforced corners, caps and bits,

- 15 mm of cover canvas refill,

- hunts in relation to the height of the volume and the thickness of the cardboard, of a minimum of 3 mm,

- internal reinforcement hinges.

When volumes belong to a series (collections and suites) they must be linked identically, except in case of a change in format. In the case of series already linked to the library, a model will be attached to the binding train. If it is a first shipment, the holder will be asked to manufacture it on the instructions of the library
