Waveney District Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to provide a responsive and high quality standard of supply, installation, servicing and maintenance of central heating and hot water systems in its domestic properties and sheltered housing schemes across the Waveney District Council area.

Waveney District Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to provide a responsive and high quality standard of supply, installation, servicing and maintenance of central heating and hot water systems in its domestic properties and sheltered housing schemes across the Waveney District Council area. Interested parties should note that the area where services are required could increase as a result of the merger of Suffolk Coastal and Waveney District Councils creating a new Council to be known as East Suffolk District Council which is scheduled to commence operations during May 2019. The services required include, but are not limited to annual servicing to existing installed heating and hot water systems including gas, oil, electric, solid fuel units, air source heat pump and solar thermal together with all associated equipment, accessories and pipe work, comprehensive repair and maintenance to existing heating and hot water systems including gas, oil, electric, air source heat pump and solar thermal together with all associated equipment, accessories and pipe work, installation of new heating and hot water systems, upgrading of old existing heating and hot water systems, gas safety inspections and handling calls from tenants on behalf of Waveney District Council including provision of data in respect of such calls and provision of data, reports, gas safety certificates, service sheets and other documentation to the Council to enable it to maintain its Housing Management System (Orchard). The services also includes the requirement to provide a full 365 days per year, 24 hours per day service cover in respect of heating breakdown and repair with a 4 hour response time for urgent breakdowns. Any service provider appointed will be required to attend the Council’s offices at Rotterdam Road for a half day per week, at its own cost.
