The subject of the contract is to conduct winter maintenance of municipal roads and sidewalks in the City and Commune of Wieliczka in the winter season 2023/2024.

The task is divided into three parts of the contract. Winter maintenance will cover roads, streets and sidewalks of the following total length:

a) Part I of the order – approx. 69 764 m, and 1 112 m of sidewalks,

b) Part II of the contract – approx. 64 270 m, and 4 450 m of sidewalks,

c) Part III of the contract – approx. 62 851 m, and 2 200 m of pavements,

Much of the municipal roads in the Wieliczka Municipality are located in the hilly area.

1. The subject of the contract is to conduct winter maintenance of municipal roads and sidewalks in the City and Commune of Wieliczka in the winter season 2023/2024. The detailed scope of winter maintenance of roads and sidewalks in the City and Commune of Wieliczka 2023/2024 is described in Annex B to the SWZ.

Winter maintenance will cover roads, streets and sidewalks with the following total length: Part I of the order – approx. 69 764 m, and 1 112 m of sidewalks. A significant part of municipal roads in the Wieliczka Commune is located in hilly terrain.

2. The Contracting Authority shall distinguish the following manner of execution of the object

2.1. Daily duty (passive duty) – the Contractor's task is to observe weather conditions, detour roads, sidewalks – lack of equipment operation on the roads.

The Contracting Authority provides for 70 passive duty during the period of performance of the contract for each part of the contract.

2.2. Daily action (active duty) – from the moment the Contractor finds bad weather conditions (or at the request of the Ordering Party) conducting activities related to snow removal, removal of black ice, sprinkling of roads, pavements.

The Contracting Authority provides for 60 active duty during the period of performance of the contract for each part of the contract.

The daily action (active duty) will be carried out from 00:00 on the first day to 0:00 the next day.

3. Commencement of winter maintenance: daily duty (passive duty) or daily action (active duty) will be appointed by an authorized representative of the Ordering Party 4 hours in advance. The appointment will take place by phone or SMS. (Advance notice is subject to change if the time on offer is shortened.)

4. In the event of stabilization of weather conditions that do not require work, the Ordering Party has the right to suspend activities related to winter maintenance and no remuneration is due for this period. An authorized representative of the Municipal Road Administration in Wieliczka may suspend daily duty. Suspension of duty will take place 4 hours in advance by phone or SMS.

5. Resumption of winter maintenance (daily on-call (passive duty) or daily action (active duty)) after their suspension takes place on the principles set out in point 3.

6. The Contractor is obliged to reach full readiness for work within a maximum of 4 hours and start (start) winter maintenance (daily duty (passive duty) or daily action (active duty)). (The start of winter road maintenance may change if the time specified in the offer is reduced.)
