The permanent part of this contract has several purposes:
- The structural maintenance of the A3/E40 for Walshoutem in both directions. Here, a reduction of the existing DGB is carried out in order to obtain a lifespan extension of the Continuous Reinforced Concrete (DGB).
- Adjusting the markings on the A2/E314 between Aarschot and Wilsele with the intention of converting the breakdown lane into a spit strip.
- Partially adjusting the safety structures along the A3/E40 to make them compliant with current regulations concerns "Forgiving roads".
- Partially adjusting the safety structures along the A2/E314 to make them compliant with current regulations concerns "Forgiving roads".
The conditional part of this contract is intended to:
- The structural maintenance of the A3/E40 for Tienen in the direction of travel from Liège. Here, a reduction of the existing DGB is carried out in order to obtain a lifespan extension of the DGB.

- Selective milling of tar-bearing asphalt from the breakdown lane
- Remove existing markers.
- Placing new underlayment in top layer
- Adjust ditches and water sippers to new level top layer
- Performing punch-out repairs locally
- Repair cracks and cracks in existing DGB pavement
- Local milling from DGB
- Renew pavement in central reservation crossing
- Placement of bituminous tear-inhibiting layer.
- Overloading the existing DGB pavement, breakdown lane and central reservation crossing.
- Placing new markings.
- Signage of the works.
- Adjusting markings on A2/E314 as part of construction of spit strip between Aarschot and Leuven - kmpnt 69.0 to 79.0
