This service specification is to provide complex nursing assessment beds to support discharge from acute hospital, to assess for further nursing care.

To inform the provider(s) of the service that the commissioners require and which the Provider(s) shall provide and meet.

Seek to ensure that the provider(s) is clear about its responsibilities and ensures co-ordination and provision of the service.

Require the provider(s) to cooperate and collaborate with others involved in the process of providing the service.

To ensure effective and efficient care is provided at the most appropriate time and in an accessible location.
