Concession for the Gelderland Rail Terminal (RTG), also including the issue of a Ground Lease.
The (RTG) is an important link in the connections with the European hinterland that the Province wants
realize. The RTG makes it possible for companies from the region to use transport on the
Betuweroute. With the RTG, three types of transport come together at Nijmegen and in the municipality of Overbetuwe:
rail (the Betuweroute), road (the A15) and water (the Waal). By combining these three modes of transport,
this area will become an even more attractive location for (logistics) companies and strengthen the
regional and national economy. This stimulates employment in the region.
The concession is granted for a period of 45 years.
Part 2a (Concession Contracts) of the Procurement Act 2012 applies to the Tender. The
The Province is the contracting authority for this Tender and in this context chooses to launch a public
To apply a European Invitation to Tender in order to award the Concession, on the understanding or that
there is an explicit opportunity for an individual interview as described in section 3.4. The
The Province also applies the Works Procurement Regulations 2016 to the Tender, chapter of which
16 refers to concessions.
