Recognized movement kindergarten with the plus point of nutrition (abMPe): The common goal of the health care stakeholders in North Rhine-Westphalia is to bundle the diverse approaches of health promotion, counselling, education and training as well as health prevention. The topic “Healthy growing up of children in their life” is increasingly being brought into view. Lack of physical activity, incorrect eating behavior and altered family structures are the main causes of this development. Childhood is one of the main risk factors for the development of diabetes, cardiovascular disease or joint problems. Psychosocial stress can also be attributed to this.
A large part of overweight children develop into obese adults. Against this background, the statutory health insurances/associations in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Landesssportbund/Sportjugend Nordrhein-Westphalia, the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Ministry of Climate Protection, the Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Protection of the State North Rhine-Westphalia and the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZGa) initiated the “abMp” project. For more than 13 years, the abMpe has been an existing service of the state government and the statutory health insurance companies in North Rhine-Westphalia in cooperation with the Landessportbund NRW. At present, more than 300 day care facilities in North Rhine-Westphalia have been awarded the “abMPE” certificate. Based on the positive experience, the successful AbMpe project is to be expanded and further developed. We are looking for suitable nutritionists for the period from 1.6.2021 to 31.12.2023 for the training and events to be carried out for this purpose, as well as to support the country coordination for the “nutrition plus”. It is optionally possible to extend it for 6 months by the client.
Parents' EventsIn terms of content, the parents' events are designed according to the wishes and needs of the day care facilities. Short curricula have been developed on various topics.
Possible topics are, for example, the food pyramid, breakfast arrangements, snacks, design of children's birthday parties, conscious food situations, eating habits in the family, drinks, sugar, children's food, sustainability, quick and easy meals, etc. should not be the main focus of the event. Parent events are scheduled for approximately 90 minutes (min. 60 minutes to max. 120 minutes); the event can take place in the morning, afternoon or evening, according to the wishes and experience of the facilities. The events take place on site in the respective day care facilities or digitally.

Basic training/refresher training/networking events1. Basic training:
In terms of content, the 16 learning units (LE) discuss the current aspects of child nutrition, complemented by a small practical part, nutrition education and the legal aspects of kindergarten as a food business operator. The participant-centric approach specifically helps to deepen the content relevant to the daycare centres.
The basic training course covers two days, usually consecutive, with 8 LE of 45 minutes each. These will be held primarily as a classroom event. Only in exceptions
Could a digital event be considered in consultation with the coordinator.
2. Refresher training:
These events are usually full-day training courses (8 LE for 45 minutes) for employees of already certified “Recognized exercise kindergartens with the plus point of nutrition”. These training courses are held as classroom events, but are also possible digitally. In some cases and by means of agreements, half-day training courses can also take place in this format. As with all events in the “Recognized Movement Kindergarten with the plus point of nutrition”, the content can also be implemented as interactively as possible and participant-centred.
3. Networking events:
The full-day network meetings have been events in the past, spread over the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia, with approximately 60 to 100 participants. Among other things, impulse lectures and workshops on the topics of movement, nutrition and mental health are offered on page 8 of 10. It is possible that network days will take part or all of the time as digital events in the future. All network events are organized by the state coordination with the support of DAK health.
