Radiotherapy equipment installed at The Edinburgh Cancer Centre (‘ECC’) within the Authority will reach the end of its recommended life-expectancy and is due for replacement under the Scottish Government's Radiotherapy Capital Equipment Replacement Programme (CERP).
The requirements for the planned replacement of radiotherapy equipment at ECC includes the purchase of the following Product: 1 x 6 MV Radiotherapy Treatment machine (Linear Accelerator).
The implementation of the product at ECC will be undertaken by the Contractor on a turnkey basis.
It is intended that an award will be made to 1 successful Contractor who will act in the role of Prime Contractor for supply of the product and associated services to the Board. This means that the successful Contractor shall assume full responsibility for supply of the Product and associated services. The successful Contractor shall be solely responsible for effecting any sub-contracting or collaborative arrangements required with other suppliers to allow the successful Contractor to meet this commitment.
