The overall objective of the approved DigiMix-PA research project is the testing, research and demonstration of an end-to-end digitized production chain for knowledge-based, site-specific precision crop production in the Brandenburg mixed farm "Leibniz-Innovationshof" (InnoHof) at the Groß Kreutz site. This mixed farm cultivates 941 hectares of agricultural land, of which about two-thirds is arable land and one-third is grassland.
Individual objectives of the research project are:
- equipping the farm with precision agricultural technology,
- the establishment, operation and analysis of monitoring stations and sensor networks,
- Communication technology and end-to-end automated documentation,
- the evaluation of economic effects and climate efficiency of the measures,
- the synthesis of findings and derivation of measures for process optimization,
- the development of digital teaching and training methods and the use of established formats to build experience and skills in typical regional agriculture.
The agricultural land to be used for the project is located a maximum of 3.5 km away from the Innovation Farm and is not contiguous.
scope
The scope of services advertised here includes conceptual and optimising support for the development of the communication technology for the rural demonstration areas.
The aim is to set up an exemplary communication network from the field to the farmstead (office), which enables data transmission from decentralized installations of in-situ sensors and monitoring stations as well as low-latency communication to mobile machines in the area. The farmstead has a broadband connection to the public network.
All available communication solutions must be included in the design: mobile communications (3G, 4G/LTE, 5G campus network - mobile if necessary for temporary installations), WLAN as well as LoRaWAN and proprietary solutions, such as SigFox or Symphony Link.
The complete specification can be found in the tender documents.
