The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has based its infrastructure on Linux and using our internal cloud systems; Openstack and Kubernetes.

On the client side, we have an approximately 50-50 distribution between Linux workstations and Windows clients. We mainly use Google's G-suite for office support.

We also have a small but important Microsoft server environment. This consists of file servers, Citrix and Active directory.

We now require a consultant who can assist us in managing and further developing this environment in accordance with our routines, and in a stable, secure and future-oriented manner.

The work location is the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. Tenderers must have sufficient time and resources within specific dates. The assignment can be carried out by one or more infrastructure engineers, but there must be a continuity over time.

The estimated scope is 1200 hours + option for up to 2400 additional hours.

Expected commencement: October 2021

The contract period is up to 3 years, and will be renewed automatically each year.

The consultant must understand Norwegian as the oral and written working language.
