The purpose of the contract consists of the comprehensive service of six (6) medium helicopters and four heliborne brigades for defense against forest fires during the years 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027.
The service will comprise:
- Transport of the brigades subject to this contract or other brigades and extinguishing teams to forest fires, to participate in the extinction of forest fires.
- Extinguishing fires by throwing water from the helicopter, with or without retardants/foaming agents, as provided by the technical director of extinguishing.
- Any other mission related to the prevention and defense against forest fires as well as the restoration of areas affected by forest fires.
The service consists of 3,109 days of helicopter availability, with a total of 4,344 contracted flight hours. The heliborne brigades will serve for 1,842 days
