The University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald intends to build a new building yard on an area of the development plan No. 22 in the industrial and commercial area Am Helmshäger Berg in Greifswald, including an administrative/social building, workshops including washing hall, grit hall incl. brine system, garages and carports as well as the corresponding traffic facilities, access roads, parking spaces, open-air warehouses, washing area.
The existing two building yard sites in Greifswald were built in 1972 and 1982 and are in poor structural condition. These existing locations are to be merged in accordance with the current standard and together with the predominant administrative area of the Civil Engineering and Green Spaces Office at the Helmshäger Berg site. The new structural systems must meet a wide variety of requirements, ensure efficient and economical operating procedures and should fit into a unit within a homogeneous structure. Life cycle costs are an important basis for decision-making. The variants are to be examined, differences of costs between construction and operation, between different energy standards are to be presented. The buildings must be planned and constructed in accordance with the principles of sustainable construction with the target of at least 65% overall degree of fulfilment according to BNB or DGNB, see also notes in Annex 10. Furthermore, the installation of photovoltaic systems must be planned in accordance with the citizens' resolution and e-mobility (charging infrastructure). The possibility of using subsidies must be clarified in the further planning process.
