The Strategic Energy Technology Plan will be revised in Spring 2023 to better support the European Green Deal objectives, make the SET Plan fully compatible with the ‘fit for 55’ proposals, the 2050 decarbonisation goal and the REPowerEU initiative, while ensuring continued support to long-term research on new energy sources.

To facilitate the implementation of the revised SET Plan, this action should support the following activities:

• communication activities (including a revamped SET Plan website);

• support to cross-cutting activities crossing thematic implementation working groups;

• capacity building activities and assistance to SET plan countries, in particular newcomers;

• support in managing unexpected policy/technology developments.
