The purchase is estimated to include approximately 800 km of medium voltage overhaul and 500 km of low voltage overhead line. The renovation will be carried out either as an underground cable network, an overhead line located next to the road or an overhead line overhaul on the existing tramway. The construction will be carried out as a KVR contract (total liability contract), including all necessary materials, excluding park transformers. Park transformers are purchased under separate contracts with Kajave Oy. The project includes, inter alia: landscaping and electrotechnical planning, route licensing, logging of leading streets, civil engineering, power grid construction and materials supply. The project includes documentation of the electricity grid to be renovated as well as operational measures to the extent agreed.

The estimated value of the acquisition is between EUR 35 000 000 and EUR 50 000 000.

The project promoter is required to participate in major disruption preparedness and disaster remediation measures to the extent described in the invitation to tender and agreed upon in the contract.

This acquisition has not been subdivided within the meaning of section 79 of the Specialized Procurement Act, as the subject-matter of the acquisition forms a geographically cohesive entity, and the network shares to be acquired have not been identified at this stage.
