Provision of Specialist Assistance Services and Hardware and Software Maintenance of the transmission devices of the Huawei OptiX OSN 8800/6800 platform operating on the GARR network, the related system NMS management including ancillary tools and energy stations. The requested service must include the management of the stocks owned by the GARR necessary for the provision of the service itself.
- Provision of Specialist Assistance and Maintenance Services for Huawei Manufacturer's OptiX OSN 8800/6800 transmissive equipment operating on the GARR network, and related U management system 2000 and ancillary tools (NetStar, WebLCT, Navigator), spare parts and power stations.
- Provision of Software Licenses and Software Updates: in the requested supply we mean included without limitation all the software necessary to make the infrastructure operational and maintain the same under the correct operating conditions. Software components and their licenses are considered an integral part of the supply.
The licenses provided must make the full functionality of the nodes available without any limitation.
Software updates of network elements, management system and ancillary tools must be guaranteed for the duration of the Contract at no additional cost compared to the annual fee. The software release in operation must not lag significantly behind the one officially released by the Manufacturer in order to avoid inefficiencies during operation or software upgrades. Finally, during the upgrade phases, the Manufacturer must provide the necessary specialist support.
- Direct relationship between GARR and Manufacturer: considering the complexity of the network infrastructure operated by GARR and taking into account the experience gained by GARR's NOC technical staff over time, the GARR considers it essential to maintain a direct relationship with the Equipment Manufacturer. In particular, it is required that, in the process of managing faults and malfunctions, the analysis and diagnosis of the same takes place through the direct relationship between the technical staff of the GARR NOC and that of the Manufacturer, without the Supplier's intermediation. The Supplier will be entrusted with the activity of replacing the parts declared broken by the Manufacturer. The direct relationship between the GARR and the Equipment Manufacturer is also required in the provision of Specialist Support Services.
