WRAP have been awarded a contract by the Defra RDE Framework to deliver a multi-year project on improving public data which will be achieved by updating, harmonising and simplifying the Hestia platform, creating an accessible web-based database and testing outputs with UK businesses.

WRAP have been awarded a contract by the Defra RDE Framework to deliver a multi-year project along side with other partners on improving public data which will be achieved by updating, harmonising and simplifying the Hestia platform. To enable company level scope 3 emissions reporting and food eco-labelling requires accessible, high quality, reliable data sources, standardised for the entire food system. This project aims to support this objective through the production of high quality, trusted data to measure the environmental impact of agricultural and food products and activities within the agri-food system. The project will also develop data standards for communication and database interoperability and draw together large data owners and relevant stakeholders to maximise the project’s outcomes.
