Dover Harbour Board with to receive bids for a flexible electricity contract starting on the 1st October 2021 covering their import and export requirement for mains electricity covering periods ranging from 36, 48 & 60 months.
Dover port have an imported electricity requirement and a contract is sought to allow the Port to purchase wholesale electricity from the wholesale markets for their requirement. In addition, the contract seeks to deal with the growing concern of non-energy costs, levies and taxes and requires the flexibility to work alongside the Port's on-going commitment to energy reduction, efficiency and the potential for on-site generation over the period.
Dover port have an export electricity requirement and a contract is sought to allow the Port to realise the financial benefit of the exported electricity based on the potential export from the circa 6MW of gas-oil sets within the Port boundary.
