Expansion of the operating theatre and LHK Suhl

The SRH Zentralklinikum Suhl currently operates nine operating rooms in the central operating theatre. Adjacent on the same level are a left heart catheter measuring station and an angiography device. Left heart catheter and angiography device must be replaced promptly. Eye surgeries are currently also being performed in the central operating theatre, but this is ineffective due to long lock times. The number of eye surgeries is currently so high that it is planned to build two separate ophthalmological operating rooms.

According to the current projection of the SRH, about 20% of these could still be used by gyn surgeries. Furthermore, it is planned to set up a second left heart catheter measuring station. In order to achieve these goals, it is planned to use the available expansion area of the "old operating room" for use as a cardiology department with two left heart catheter measuring stations and an angiography device

to prepare. After the cardiology area has been cleared, the area would be converted into a self-sufficient area for the expansion of the operating room.
