SPA-Monitoring 2024-2028

The subject of the procurement is the SPA monitoring, which is carried out as a permanent task in 44 EU bird protection areas every six years. The SPA mapping takes into account all valuable breeding and migratory bird species. The breeding bird mapping in the SPA areas is carried out as a full-surface territorial mapping according to methodological standard (Südbeck et al. 2005). The migratory and resting bird recording takes place in the open land areas and is based on the specifications of the DDA waterbird census. For all valuable bird species in SPA, the conservation scheme is assessed in accordance with the LANA decision ("Pinneberg scheme").

SPA 13 - Southern Eichsfeld

The subject of the procurement is the SPA monitoring in SPA 13 - Southern Eichsfeld (area: 1,967 ha), which is carried out as a permanent task in 44 EU bird protection areas every six years. The SPA mapping takes into account all valuable breeding and migratory bird species. Breeding bird mapping in the SPA areas is carried out as full-area territory mapping according to standard methods (Südbeck et al. 2005). Migratory and resting birds are recorded in the open land areas and are based on the specifications of the DDA waterbird census.
