Planning service for the traffic and drainage systems according to HOAI 2021 in the street Papiermühle in Düren.

Subject of planning traffic facilities:

The paper mill road is to be completely expanded, including new sidewalks. For this purpose, the road must be widened in some areas, especially at the level of the sports club grounds. The Civil Engineering and Green Spaces Office of the City of Düren has developed an expansion concept for the traffic and ancillary facilities as well as a ceiling height plan and must be taken into account for all further planning. The drainage areas to be connected shall be determined on the basis of them.

In the planning, it must be taken into account that the first step is to rebuild the bridge structure, including the temporary roadway. The existing bridge structure will be redesigned and renewed. The planning of the bridge structure is not part of the contract of the engineering service requested hereby. The road planning is to be drawn up in dependence and consultation with the bridge structure planning as well as the sewer planning and the planning parties involved (WVER, city of Düren and city drainage Düren). The final stage of the road planning will be carried out after the sewer construction measures at the paper mill.

The engineering service requested hereby must be carried out in accordance with § 46 ff Verkehrsanlagen HOAI 2021 (for details see Part B of the service description).

Object of planning - engineering structures for rainwater:

The Stadtentwässerung Düren (SE) intends to lay a new rainwater sewer in the street Papiermühle with a length of approx. 305 m for the rainwater drainage of the street Papiermühle as well as for the possible drainage of future area developments in the catchment area. The rainwater sewer is intended to absorb and drain the rainwater from the Papiermühle road between the bridge over the Lendersdorfer Mühlenteich (from the new discharge point to be created) and the connection to Mariaweilerstraße. Other areas of the adjacent properties (EGN, Hoffsümmer, residents) are not to be connected to the new rainwater collector.

The storm sewer to be planned requires a new discharge point to be approved into the Lendersdorfer Mühlenteich and, if necessary, pre-treatment and retention, which must be coordinated with the responsible approval authorities. If pre-treatment is required (designation as a commercial area), Stadtentwässerung Düren prefers rainwater treatment integrated into the sewer network, e.g. Sedipipe system. A decentralised rainwater treatment with e.g. filter bags in the street drains is not planned by the Düren municipal drainage system for operational reasons.

The construction of the bridge and the sewer in it is carried out in a separate project and is not part of the contract of this project. The coordination effort as well as the coordination with the object planning of the bridge structure must be taken into account.

Object of planning - engineering structures for waste water:

The grid display of the GKA Düren catchment area shows that the sewer network must be hydraulically adapted. In this project, the NS 25 and HS 13 are therefore to be rehabilitated from a hydraulic point of view to approx. 380 m and increased in cross-section to DN 600 due to the currently predicted future wastewater discharges. The existing duct is made of asbestos cement. A dismantling and disposal concept is in place.
