The effort for the changeover or a parallel MDM solution for iOS and for other operating systems would be associated with unacceptable economic and personnel costs. The compatibility of the tablets with the existing devices enables them to be exchanged between the schools of the Schulwerk as required. Since the devices are intended as loan devices that should also be used at home, the MDM solution mentioned above is mandatory; This is the only way to remotely administer, maintain and support the loaner devices. The introduction of a further MDM system for other operating systems, on the other hand, would make central support (as it is set up in the Schulwerk) impossible in daily practice, since different support systems would have to be used for different devices: Existing iOS devices would inevitably go down to class level mixed with other types of equipment. Attention: The devices should still be used in the 2020/21 school year. Therefore, delivery must take place no later than 3.2.2021.
