Barrow Borough Council are seeking tenders for the provision of stray dog collection and kennelling services on a 2 year contract with the option to negotiate an extension for a further 2 years by mutual agreement.

Our service has traditionally been provided by Council staff; with a central depot located in North Scale, Walney Island with capacity to house 20 dogs in 20 pens and a small separate cattery. Stray collection has been carried out during office hours with the facility for out of hours on a call out basis. The kennels have been open for dogs to be reclaimed during office hours Monday to Friday with weekend appointments via prior arrangement.
