As part of the Digital OU programme, the Open University is preparing to replace its HR and Payroll system. The main drivers for this replacement are in no particular order:
• Due to the influences from the digital OU (primary processes) program, changes will take place in HR's work processes. OU wants to accommodate these changes in a renewed HR system so that there are optimal options for this.
• OU strives for maximum digitization of HR processes in order to increase efficiency and effectiveness; such as employee self-service and digital declarations.
• In the longer term, non-administrative HR topics and ambitions will play such as competence management, deployment planning and strategic personnel planning.
