The County Council in Oppland has decided to invest in a new zero-emission ferry that runs on batteries for the Randsfjord ferry route (Horn-Tangen). The ferry is a steel twin-hull craft The ferry is approx. 30-33 metres long and the expected capacity is 16 PCUs and 65 PAXs. The ferry must be battery powered.
The Randsfjorden is not connected to the sea. The assignment includes the transport of the new ferry to Randsfjorden.
The contract includes shipbuilding and delivery of a battery powered 16 PCUs ferry, including services described in the Requirement specification. The ferry must be delivered launched and ready for ordinary operation at Horn in Randsfjorden.
An onshore battery package and a cradle for the new ferry must also be included.
