The unit requires the provision of the following respiratory devices and associated support service to enable a clinical service to be provided:
— Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP),
— Non-Invasive Ventilation Machines (NIV),
— Humidifiers,
— Cough Assistor,
— Masks, Mask parts, Consumables and similar.
The Trust and the successful Supplier (s) will collaborate in a strategic partnership in which the service is capable of responding to change during the contract lifetime.
The Trust Sleep and Ventilation Service support 10 000 adult patients on Continuous Positive Airway Pressure and 450 adult patients on Non-Invasive Ventilation.
Approximately 1 000 CPAP and 120 NIV new patients are expected to use the service each year; however, no guarantee of patient numbers is made by the Trust.
Bidders are entitled to may submit offers for as many, or as few, devices as they supply which meet the Trust's requirements.
When a device is required during the contract period, the Trust will place an order for the device which meets the particular patient's needs. Where more than 1 suitable device is available under the framework, the Trust shall select the 1 with the lowest price.
The Trust reserves the right to award contracts resulting out of this procurement to more than 1 bidder.
