Description:
Separate collection of biowaste from detached houses in Lohja and Nummela

The target of the procurement is the collection and transport of biowaste generated in living in detached houses in the urban areas of Lohja and Nummela and comparable as backloading work.

The procurement is one contract, the Bidder offers from one contract area. The contracting will start in a staggered manner from the Lohja agglomeration, starting on 01.09.2023 and from the Nummela agglomeration from 01.11.2023.

This competition takes into account the proposal of the EU Commission for a greenhouse gas emission reduction target. In transport, emissions should be reduced, for example, by replacing fossil fuels with renewable and low-emission fuels and propulsion.

The client requires that the transport equipment in both two contract areas, which is fully and primarily employable, alternatively uses either biogas or HVO-type fuel (EN 15940).

At the start of the project, the cars can be fuelled with sulphur-free diesel. The renewable fuel will be commissioned within four months of the subscriber's notification. The matter and its changes to contract compensation are presented in more detail in the contract programme.

In the contract area, approximately 2400 containers are collected in the Lohja urban area and 710 in the Nummela urban area.

At the unit prices according to the offer, the contract includes the emptying of the collection equipment of all the properties included in the customer's biowaste transport into a collection vehicle and the transport of the waste to the Munkka waste center in Lohja.

The unit price for emptying the biowaste container must include the inner bag of the tank and the price of its installation. The contractor procures the inner bags. The material in the inner bag should also be biodegradable corn starch or similar material, not paper.

A ventilated biowaste container does not use an inner sack, a separate unit price is offered for its emptying.

The waste containers located in the contract areas are washed two (2) times a year. In this contract, the first round of washing will be carried out in spring 2024 and the last by 08/2026.
