The concessionaire's executive tasks include:

• The daily preparation and distribution of lunch in the canteen in the integrated school centre as well as all related work, e.g. the washing of dishes, porcelain and trays as well as the storage and daily cleaning of the entire kitchen area including the counter and the scullery.

• Offering small meals (snacks, baked goods) and drinks in the canteen in the school centre.

• The daily provision and distribution of lunch in the canteen of the Bästenhardtschule as well as all related work, e.g. the washing of dishes, porcelain and trays as well as the storage and daily cleaning of the entire kitchen area including the counter and the scullery.

• Organizational tasks such as purchasing the cost of goods, commercial invoice processing, handling of the education and participation package with the district offices, etc..

The canteen in the integrated school center Goethestraße in Mössingen was reopened in 2014 and is now available for about 1,850 students and about 200 teachers and currently serves about 550 meals per week. The students of the following schools in the school centre attend the canteen:

- Steinlachschule (special school)

- Friedrich-List-Gemeinschaftsschule

- Gottlieb-Rühle-Schule (primary school)

- Quenstedt-Gymnasium.

The catering system of the canteen in the school centre is Cook&Chill or Cook&Freeze, supplemented with fresh ingredients (e.g. salads, raw vegetables, fruit). Salads and desserts could be prepared on site.

The canteen at the Bästenhardtschule (primary school) currently serves an average of 325 meals per week. There is the possibility of hot catering as well as for the regeneration of food.

Pricing

The municipal council of the city of Mössingen sets the selling price to the pupils annually at the beginning of the new school year. The caterer receives (subject to the municipal council decision) a subsidy per meal served, so that an adequate operation of the canteen is possible.
