The city of Bünde has an outdoor pool located on the edge of the city center and built in 1936. Due to the age-related condition, Bünder Bäder GmbH intends to renew the Bünde-Mitte outdoor pool, Zum Freibad 12 in 32257 Bünde. The existing buildings and pools are to be demolished and replaced at other points by new buildings (entrance / sanitary / changing room / technology) and 4 different pools (50m competition, jumping, play / fun and children's paddling pool. In addition to the swimming and Bathing operations for the outdoor pool guests should also be created a catering solution.

Demolition work started in early January 2020. Recommissioning is scheduled for the second quarter of 2021.
