Description:

Cardigan Castle is one of the most important historic monuments in Wales and was the setting for the first Eisteddfod in 1176. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and its buildings are all listed Grade 2*. The Castle is in very poor repair following years of neglect and the current project involves the repair, conservation, upgrading and restoration of the Castle fabric, its buildings and the Castle gardens to provide a major new heritage attraction with supporting facilities.
