Consultations between the Federal Ministry of Home Affairs, Construction and Home (BMI) and the Japanese Ministry of Spatial Planning, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) are scheduled to take place in the years 2022 to 2025 through the inclusion of BBSR, BRI (Building Research Institute), NILIM (National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management) and Third party to be scientifically accompanied. As part of scientific support, topics such as energy-efficient and sustainable construction, structural and organizational issues related to new construction and modernization of residential and non-residential buildings, digitization in construction (keywords: BIM, smart home, smart city), serial construction and the reduction of construction costs will be addressed among others.
