The subject of the contract is the performance of a service consisting in the elimination of corrugated wear of rails in the tracks
trails and junctions including:
1) Repair of worn or damaged running surface of rails with a total estimated length of 20,000
Mtp. on sections of main tracks designated by the Ordering Party and at junctions
located in the transport network of the city of Gdańsk.
1. The subject of the contract is the performance of a service consisting in the removal of corrugated wear of rails in main tracks and junctions, including:
1) Repair of worn or damaged running surface of rails with a total estimated length of 20,000 mtp. on sections of main tracks designated by the Contracting Authority and at junctions located in the communication network of the city of Gdańsk:
a) Detailed information containing the location of track sections at junctions and on the route will be provided to the Contractor signed by the Parties with the "Introduction Protocol", constituting Annex 2 to the contract.
b) The length of the section qualified for repair on plain tracks will not be less than 200 mtp.
c) The effect of rail repair work will be to obtain:
the normative longitudinal profile over all wavelengths;
rounding of the plane of the rolling edge of the rail head.
(d) The repair shall be carried out mechanically by rotational technique by means of grinding wheels or by milling technique by means of heads equipped with cutting elements. The geometrical scope of rail repair includes the running surface and the rolling edge of the rail head from the inside of the track. The initial point of the rail profiling range is located on the rolling edge of the rail head, 14 mm below the plane of the rail heads. The end point of profiling on the groove rail shall be situated at a distance of 5 mm from the outer lateral plane of the rail head.
(e) Rails along the entire designated length of the track, built into separate tracks and paved with a road surface, shall be repaired. The range of profiling heads can be limited by the high construction of the track depending on its type. The Contractor shall on its own remove the unevenness of the road surface in the track that prevent the passage of the device used to perform the subject of the contract. The Contractor is obliged to repair the road surface in the track when it is damaged as a result of works carried out under the subject of the contract.
2) Taking measurements before starting repairs on qualified track sections and after repairing each section covered by the subject of the contract:
(a) The measurements shall take into account:
comparative contours of the transverse profile before and after the repair of both rail tracks, including the side and rolling surfaces of the rail head, allowing a detailed assessment of deviations in relation to the required rail profile after repair. Measurement is required at intervals of not more than 500 m in places evenly distributed throughout the entire section of works, with at least three of them located on a horizontal curve (at the beginning, middle and end of the arc) if it occurs on a given section, and in places indicated by the Ordering Party.
unevenness of the longitudinal profile of the running surface of the rails measured in the centre of the section rounded with radius R1, together with the calculation independently for each rail run, of the value of the mean wave depth for the length ranges: 30÷300 mm. The measurement should be carried out in a spot manner over a length of 15 m, at intervals of not more than 300 m in places evenly distributed over the entire section of work, with at least three of them located on a horizontal curve (at the beginning, middle and end of the arc) if it occurs on a given section, and in places indicated by the Ordering Party.
(b) Measurements shall be made with an accuracy of not less than:
0.5 mm – measurements of the transverse profile;
0.03 mm – longitudinal profile measurements;
