Within the Netherlands Forensic Institute departments of Narcotics (VM) and Toxicology (TOX), there is a need to replace two Liquid Chromatography High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS) systems. The scope of the assignment consists of delivery and maintenance of at least two to possibly five Liquid Chromatography High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS) systems.

Within the Netherlands Forensic Institute departments of Narcotics (VM) and Toxicology (TOX), there is a need to replace two Liquid Chromatography High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS) systems. These systems play a crucial role in the production of the departments. The VM and TOX departments have identical LC-HRMS setups of type LC-Time of Flight (LC-ToF, Agilent). It is important that they become identical systems again, because of the interchangeability of methods, the use of reference libraries and the knowledge & skills of the users. The current systems are no longer covered by guaranteed maintenance from the supplier and are far beyond their economic life.

The scope of the assignment consists of delivery and maintenance of at least two to possibly five Liquid Chromatography High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (LC-HRMS) systems.

The purpose of this European tender is to conclude a Framework Agreement for a period of four years between the Netherlands Forensic Institute and one Contractor for the supply and maintenance of LC-HRMS systems according to the description in the tender documents.

At the end of 2012, rivm was designated as a procurement implementation centre (IUC) of the central government. One of the tasks of the IUC-RIVM is the implementation of the National Procurement Category Laboratory. Objectives of category management include knowledge bundling and purchasing cooperation per product group. Participants of this purchasing collaboration are the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI), Tax and Customs Administration/Customs Laboratory, Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE), National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), Rijkswaterstaat / Water Service, Defence (various laboratories).
