Confined Space Rescue.

The Energy Centre has five boilers burning approximately 500 000 tonnes of municipal refuse per year in a continuous 24-hour operation, 7 days per week. It is a requirement that each boiler is to undergo a statutory survey every 12 months. During this period there will be a number of confined space entries in various areas of the site which includes boilers, turbines and the Flue Gas Treatment. The Contractor will be required to provide an on-site confined space and Working at Height rescue service during the planned annual boiler outage period including medical response. The requirement is for 24 hour 7 day week coverage.
