Department 43 of the LZPD NRW (Police Aviation Squadron NRW), here the Competence Center Drones of the Police NRW (KDPol), performs the tasks of a state-wide central office for the unnamed flight operations of the NRW police. Two different drone systems ("Type 1 Drone System" and "Type 2 Drone System") will be procured for the organizational units of the NRW Police. The scope of services to be provided was divided into two lots.
Delivery of Type 1 drone systemsA total of 70 Type 1 drone systems ("total delivery quantity") including accessories are to be delivered in partial quantities. Of the total delivery quantity, a partial quantity of 30 Type 1 drone systems is to be delivered to the client as early as November 2023. The determination of the number of pieces and the determination of the delivery dates for the other partial quantities shall be carried out in accordance with the more detailed provisions of the contract.
A Type 1 drone system consists of the following components:
- Aircraft (drone)
- Remote control (Smart Controller)
- Operating software (user control application)

The type 1 drone systems to be procured correspond to a small standard system, which is commercially available to consumers in free trade. In addition to the delivery of the Type 1 drone systems, the contractor's scope of services also includes product support in German and a supply of spare parts.

Of the total delivery quantity, a partial quantity of 10 Type 2 drone systems is to be delivered to the client as early as November 2023. The determination of the number of pieces and the determination of the delivery dates for the other partial quantities shall be carried out in accordance with the more detailed provisions of the contract.
A Type 2 drone system consists of the following components:
- Aircraft (drone)
- Two controllers (master / slave)
- Operating software (user control application)
- Batteries including transport option
- Multiple charger or battery charging case
- Transport housing (case)
- accessories
- Folierung.
In addition to the delivery of the Type 2 drone systems, product support in German as well as
as well as a supply of spare parts to the scope of services of the contractor.
