On the total of 21 ha landfill site in the disposal and recycling center in Mertesdorf, 2 landfill sections are to be sealed with a DK II surface sealing system and shut down. Surface construction section 1 (OBA 1) has a size of approximately 44,000 m 2 and the second surface construction section (OBA 2) has an area of 78,000 m 2 on. The construction phases are both to be processed in parallel. The construction phases are spatially approx. 400 m apart.

The following main services are to be provided:

- Profiling the existing surface.

Preparation of the surface sealing system consisting of:

- gas-permeable base and leveling layer,

- geosynthetic clay liner,

- plastic waterproofing membrane,

- Plastic drainage element in OBA 1 / mineral drainage layer in OBA 2,

- recultivation layer,

- Creation of surface drainage (ditch system, cascades, rain retention basins),

- Road construction and infrastructure measures.

The services also include the connection of the active gas collection system to the surface sealing and gas substations, the preparation of the passive degassing and all ancillary work that is necessary to fulfill the main services mentioned.
