The Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP) of the European Commission, DG Joint Research Centre, through its European Union Reference Laboratory for Genetically Modified Food and Feed (EURL-GMFF), validates analytical methods for the detection and quantification of GMOs in food and feed. The detection of GMOs requires standardised methods that are specifically tailored for each GMO and are applied in a standardised way within all EU control laboratories.

The object of the contract is the supply of consumables and reagents to be used on real time PCR and Q-PCR machines manufactured by Applied Biosystem.
