The state of Schleswig-Holstein is planning to renovate and expand the facility by adding and expanding pharmaceutical biology for the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel (CAU).
The objective for the building is, according to the documents from 2016, to achieve a "new condition" of the building. According to the climate protection goals of the EU, the federal government, the state and the CAU, the refurbished building should already meet the highest standards of long-term cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency (maximum energy efficiency building).
A main focus of this measure is on sustainable building. A. are the principles of CO2 neutral building, the use of renewable energies, the careful use of natural resources, the economical use of water, the absence of composite materials, the support of health and well-being through the use of demonstrably ecological building materials as well as the possibility to consider, promote and implement the return of the materials used after the use of a biological or technical cycle in the planning and execution
The contractor is expected to provide future-oriented, outstanding planning solutions in terms of architecture, building technology and / or energy, which go beyond the “standard solutions” and are intended to fulfill a “pilot character” in the context of this project. In addition to the innovative planning solutions, great value is also placed on the implementation of sustainability aspects / sustainability requirements during the execution phase, which has to be taken into particular account during the construction supervision.
Certification for the building project is planned in accordance with the "Sustainable Building" guidelines of the BMUB and the underlying assessment system for sustainable building for federal buildings (BNB). It should be noted here that the complex is a laboratory building (mainly S2 laboratories), which is to be modernized in the existing building. The certification level silver is aimed for.
As part of the renovation measures, the existing building will be dismantled down to the shell including the entire TGA within the building. The dismantling to the unfinished state is not part of this measure.
The client intends to award the planning services mentioned below to a general planner in accordance with the draft contract.
